KidCo Safety Gate Installation Kit Review
Sorry I'm not the type of person who has the time to go to the hardware store to get a piece of wood and cut it up. I have this for my banister and two other kits for my drywall. The biggest mistake I made was not buying when I purchased the gate. My son banged on the gate and ripped it right off causing a hole on are wall. Now it is much sturdier with this piece of wood, which you do end up buying longer drilling nails for it. That would probably be my only complaint about this kit.

waste of $ - Jeremy -
save yourself time and money, and get what you need from the hardware store. i didn't bother with this kit, and am happy with my own mounting job around my iron bannister. total cost: .80. just double check your measurements to make sure the wood is long enough for the mounting brackets
agree with first review that the screws that they provided with the gate itself are cheap--i had 2 break. you would think for a + dollar gate they could splurge for some real screws..cheap chinese junk grumble grumble

I realize that this is just a piece of word and plastic ties but it does exactly what it says it does. We have a wrought iron railing and needed something that we could attach to the rail in order to mount our gate and this worked perfectly. It was really easy...I mounted it myself while my husband was at work. We've had it up for about 10 months now and it hasn't budged.
